The two rarest rifles in my collection were both specially built for Tom Walton following an incident with his earlier FT rifle.
The first is a stainless steel action GC2 Mk3, the first made in this material, and one of only 6(?) in total in stainless. I is fitted into an Airmasters FTXS stock, one of only two that I believe were made, the other being built for a Shamal and was featured in the 1988 Airgun World annual as part of a colour centre page article. Tom comissioned the stock in about 1988 tofit his GC2 Mk1, according to Tom the cost of the wood blank and the carving came to about £900.

The second rifle is an unusual Ripley, built for Tom to encourage him back into FT, the cylinder is of stainless steel rated at a burst pressure of 60000psi. The rifle uses parts from a failed prototype called the 'Phoenix'. The barrel and breech block are offset to the left side side of the action.

the stock on the phoenix looks a lot like the one on my gc2 mk3 (up for sale in the sales section)

The Phoenix stock is a Gary Cane. The one on your GC2 is one Of Nick Jenkinson's 'NJ Custom' design's that he used to sell when 'Link Arms' was operating.

managed to aquire rare (obvioulsy not old) hand made rifle recently!
turned up at an HFT shoot last year and proceeded to get a bollocking when he found out i was shooting a course with it
ISP spartan stutzen with a OK piece of wood on it
but i must say i love my webley service rifle mk11, it's capable of hitting 40mm resettable targets at 35-40 yds all day long, beautifull actiona nd feel to it.
and for co2 i have a crossman mk1, luger look alike and just under 6ft/lbs, puts a smile on my face all the time

Moving away from air rifles, Sam has a very nice Mauser K98K.... only this one was modified by Konsberg after being surrendered in Norway after the second world war, when they made a batch of rifles for the British Commonwealth shooting team and the British Forces in Germany biathlon team. One of it's sister rifles is in the NRA museum.

I recently had made, a special order Theoben Evolution .25cal - yes, that's 6.3mm / 12ftlb.
Theoben say they can't recall ever building one before.
Not that it would be too difficult to make another, or convert an existing Evo - but mine is apparently the first .25 (and maybe the only one that will ever be made) to leave the factory and will be listed in Theoben's records as such.
I also may have had the first .25cal MFR with a proper .25cal barrel (Walther), but that was a calibre conversion from a .177, so not too difficult to replicate.
A year ago, I sold a (vgc) 1990-model Theoben Sirocco Carbine in .177 - apparently they are very rare as a carbine model in .177.
I think "DerekAustin" (?) has it now.

Hello All,
Rarest I have is a Diana Series 70 Model 71 in .22 calibre, according to Dennis Hiller in his airgun books he says it's so rare he's only ever seen one. Apparently it was never advertised in the UK for some reason. It's in a rough condition at the moment but would make a good project for someone (yes it is for sale if anyone is interested and wants to collect for £45.00

It would appear that these are museum pieces now as its at least 60 years old and there are some rifles by this manufacturer in the towns museum.
Still shoots and feels lovely. Or is this compo only for rare, new, pretty guns
