The .177 will have store more energy in the spring, so it might be a tiny bit more jumpy. But not so you would notice. Try shooting a .223 and a 7.62, or even better, a .455 Martini-Henry.
Is there much difference in recoil between an AA TX200HC and the AA TX200 MKIII in .177 and .22?

I don't know so you'll have to ask others.
I don't know for sure having never had the chance to fire a TX200 in .177.
Generally though .177 are a bit rougher as a consequence of needing a more powerful spring which is necessary because of the smaller pellets
reduced efficiency.

Thanks for your help, most helpful <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->
My thoughts were, .177 more recoil to accelerate the pellet to achieve the same muzzle energy as .22, but also the TX200 MKIII has a longer barrel than the HC, would that make another difference? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_confused.gif" alt="Confused" width="15" height="22"><!--graemlin:-->
Longer barrels tend to result in slightly higher FPS but I doubt in this case it'll make any perceivable difference to the felt recoil.
Your best bet would be to try the both the rifles at a local club and make your own informed choice.
Is there a good reason to be worried about the recoil? Do you have an injury which will make the recoil painful ? If this is the case then plump for a PCP.
However if there isn't a really good reason for having no recoil then just be aware that people get excellent results with all formats of this rifle so any of them would be a good choice.

I wouldnt worry about it the TX is very pleasant to shoot in either calibre, as long as it aint been mucked up with an Ox spring or similar
