    Return to F.T.

I am thinking of returning to FT shooting after a layoff of a few years. During my previous FT incarnations I have used, firstly a GC2 Mk 2 with a Nick Jenkinson Leupold 14.4X35 scope.
Then I had one of the first Daystate CR-X, with another Nick J scope, this time a 20 x 50 with a side wheel.

What I would like to know from the forum is what is the prefered combination to use today??

I see the CR-X is temporarily unavailable, will it be re-released with the CDT trigger??, I hope so, it was an awsome weapon.

Does anyone know if Nick J's business Link Arms is still going, or where I could get a Leupold S/Wheel scope.

    All advice greatfully received

Hydrographics STEYR LG100's are popular in your neck of the woods I believe.

For the Leup, try the for sale section at:

Bill - best advice would be to try each of the top FT guns and see which suits you best. If you are looking to get back into FT I am assuming you have a FT club that you plan to visit - this would be an ideal place to try and check out all the latest guns.

I don't think there is much difference between the top guns - its more down to personal preference.

You could also have a look at different scopes while you are at the club.

    which ft gun

i use both a sportsmatch and lg100 steyr(factory) both are sub half inch 5 shot groups at 55 yards. The steyr is the more user friendly of the two due its compact size, but gc2 has the looks over lg100. the ripley ar5s is on the back burner for awhile at the moment, till i decide shall she stay or will she go!
