    I'd agree with all of the comments expressed here. Mine's a karbine and seems well put together and very nice to use. On the price front, I got a thumbhole stocked karbine in .22 at the Bisley show earlier this year for 795 quid but would have thought harder if it was full price.

    Thanks for all your feedback. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    At 795 for the thumbhole I would consider one, but at the retail price of 944.00 from BAR they are no way worth that.

    i had my heart set on a logun mk2 in .177 for ages until i read the bbs aobut all the problems with them well in fairness not just the bbs 2 guys at a club i used to shoot at had them and at least twice a month something hindered them shooting these rifles i am afraid that a slick bolt and nice walnut are not so important when in the field

    I agree they are overpriced, but what air rifle isn't?.
    As for being unreliable, a lot of it boils down
    to the person not taking his time to read the manual on the do's and dont's of the rifle,and
    Like i said a lot of the slagging off of the rifle
    are by people who haven't even held one !
    Ever used one DM80 <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    I have used one, ok but not for me, I dont like the magazine set up and never have, I also like to choose which ammo my guns shoot the best and Accupell are way down the list

    You may notice the pic of the rabbits has gone, you probably dont know it but pics of dead animals aint really acceptable on here, we could show pics of 100 plus if needed, but it aint necessary, we believe your Logun will do the job

    I agree Baz. I would like the freedom to choose my pellets but am I right in thinking that you can get it set up by Logun to work with other pellets? Still can't put a stack of different types through to find the most suited though I suppose. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_frown.gif" alt="Frown" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    I would also say that set up with best pellets, (probably a JSB) the action really is silky smooth

    Only reason I can see that its not more popular is that mag, also the Falcon trigger which although it can be set up ok its not really in the same league as rest of the gun, that comment sounds a bit like the MKI Rapid really

    All that said they can be quite a bargain secondhand, a colleague bought a thumbhole one for £300 as new!

    I am delighted in the high level of interest this finest of air rifles, I respect each informed opinion on here so don't wish to get into anysort of debate but feel it is only right to correct a couple of facts. 1. The bolt flicking up slightly is only a problem on early MkII's and due to a modification does not occur on current models. Unfortunately this feature cannot be retro fitted as it would involve replacing complete breech blocks and the costs would be very high. 2. All new MkII's can, by using different slip gauges, use a variety of pellets, including Accupell, Magnums, JSB's. The changing of the slip gauge is a 2 min process. If you have an older MkII it can be modified to accept different slip gauges.
    3. The retail price of the MKII is £799.99, which includes a silencer and case mat. These two items are worth over £80.

    Thanks for posting here
    The price you quote is that for a sporter or Thumbhole stocked rifle?

    Hi Jan,

    so are there slip gauges available for AA field and are they replaceable by us mere mortals or would it be a factory job? Seems like a bit of a bind to have to send a gun back to the manufacturer for a 2 minute job.

    BTW, I love my MKII <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->
