    'All new MkII's can, by using different slip gauges, use a variety of pellets, including Accupell, Magnums, JSB's. The changing of the slip gauge is a 2 min process.'

    Or, you could just buy an AA 410 and get on with hunting <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    Got one already mate <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    Just wanted to know if they do a slip gauge to suit AA Field as all my other guns like them better than anything else I've tried.

    logans

    The only things logans punishes is its owners patience because most of the time they dont work.
    try and sell or trade one in at gun shops they dont want to know unless they can buy them for next to nothing <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    My Logun Mk II has been fine mate. No problems at all except when I wanted to see if the AA Field would work with it set up for Accupell. It didn't...won't try it again <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="Roll Eyes" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->. Other than that it's been a pleasure to use. Haven't even had to change the batteries yet <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    As for trade in value; I won't be selling so it doesn't bother me <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->.

    To answer your question Phil the slip guage change can be done by "mere mortals". However to use the AA version of the JSB pellets it would depend how old your gun is. If your gun is less than 3 months old then it is simply a case of changing the slip gauge, if the gun is more than 3 months old then the switch plate assembly needs changing as well. This again can be done by a "mere mortal", although I like to think that Logun owners are more than just mere mortals!
    It is also worth mentioning that new MkII's and ones with modified switch plates can handle domed, pointed and flat nose pellets.

    Hi Jan,

    thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I got my gun in May(ish) so I guess it's both switch plate and slip gauge I need.

    Thanks again,
    /Phil.

    How would you know.
    Have you ever owned one,used one?
    I think not my friend.
    More than likely the information you got was from
    a friend of a friend of a friend who had one who was too eager to use the rifle and didn't even bother to read the manual.

    The Problems with many Loguns have been many. The early mk2's suffered from poor valving, bolt flick, inaccuracy problems, low shot capacity and poor standard stocks. Some guns had all these faults present, mine included. These problems should never have been there, they should have been ironed out before the gun came to market. The later guns have all the faults rectified , we tested a carbine recently and it gave 85 consistent shots, the bolt was lovely , the stock vastly better.
    Notice I havent mentioned jamming problems? I never had a one with my gun. Virtually every jam i saw was user error, possibly every one . This magazine system works very well, it can be cycled far quicker than an S410 and in fact the reliability of Logun has been a match for any gun recently and better than quite a few.
    Logun should have understood though , that guns , like anything these days need to be totally foolproof or the product gets the blame. The logun magazine is not fool proof, but if you follow the instructions and set the mag up for the pellet it will work very well.
    This leaves the reputation of the gun in tatters, and to a lesser degree the Logun name. Unfortunately they didnt learn with the Sweet 16 either, only in the last couple of months the guns now work as they should. If I was buying now, I would deffinately put the Logun on my list, its still too expensive , but the actual internal construction is very good. What i wouldn't do is rush out and buy a very early one on the cheap, unless all the mods have been done.
    Now that Jan is listening, it would be nice to think logun will come to understand that their products need to be thoroughly tested before sale, and preferably by people who can give them some honest feedback to hopefully stop history repeating itself.

    lets be fair about this logun are not the only company to use the market place to get it right.
    the commendable thing with the whole simmons package is service second to none.
    everybody i know that have dealt with them be it large or small purchases can only praise the backup service they have provided.
    any problems i had with my s16s and that is 2 were quickly sorted and never re-occured.
    its all too easy to blame manufacturers for releasing products nearing completion but the buck doesnt stop there in fairness.
    its a large market with many people to satisfy so there has to be some learning curve and people who have a problem with this should either wait or buy another product.in my opinion if you have any doubts regarding the confidence in something you are about to buy whatever it may be then dont buy it.simple innit.
    so to close top marks to LOGUN and may they rein long and prosper so as to bring us even more quality products

    regards
    karl
