The factory produced intructions are not the clearest, either in content or presentation. In fact my copy - which came with a new MK3 two months ago - is a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy etc.

I am in the process of re-writing a set of operating instructions for our club members. I should finish in about a week so if you want to email me at richclark24@hotmail.com later I will send you a set. Note this is not the email in my profile.

read out is in time
to convert to fps divide 365000 by the number displayed that will give you feet per second(fps) then convert to ft lbs
red button on bottom is a reset button for when the front sensor is activated but not back it will show as 888

That means it is a chronograph. If it did the calculation for you it would be a chronoscope <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->
