Has anyone ever managed to actually do this? I'm sure I've seen other people joking about it on here somewhere.
I was going to buy a Gamo Compact off them but I'm having second thoughts now as I just can't get through to them and I've been trying for a day or so. I reckon I'll just have to pay the extra and get it from Uttings.

I did, just once though! Just keep trying is all you can do- I tried once for 2 days. Try both their numbers, not just the free phone one.
I think they only have one phone line, and given they're not exactly a small company they must have someone constantly on that line!
Try emailing as well- you can email them and get them to phone you!
Use the fax.
Best NOT to try ringing Early Morning,Lunch time,and late afternoon.
you will get through,you just have to keep redialing

I recently purchased a scope from them. Got great & quick service. Took me three attempts to get through on the telephone. Just keep trying.

pretty much agree with what the guys have said.Sometimes I've been through on first go and sometimes hundreds. Avoid peak times and you stand a better chance.
When you do get through though the service is first class.
Think you'll like the Gamo - I've had one for several years and nice and accurate for the price

I tried buying from them at begining of this year.
Over period of a couple of weeks I:

Eventually sent them a fax .... pleading with them to contact ME, promising that I had money burning hole in pocket and wanted to BUY THAT DAY.

Sorry JSR, but if that's the best you could do, I'll spend (and did) my hard earned dosh elsewhere.
After that experience, they'll have to cold-call me with the offer of the decade to change my view.
Oh. Should add that it wasn't pennies I was wanting to part with. Nearer £400!!
Same problem here im afraid,it seems the only way i can get through is by fax(or pure blind luck, i do not have the time to keep ringing and have ended up going elsewhere. I run a business myself and no matter how busy i am i always answer the phone and if i was as busy as JSR then more lines and staff are the answer.
Come on ED good prices great service if only we can get through.
