Just a wipe over with an oily cloth will do most of the time. Occasionally you will have to smear a little moly grease on the bottle threads and 'O' ring. That's about it!

I love my S10!

it could be one of those new BSA's with a bull barrel, 7 shot magazine/single shot loading tray and Theoben on the side
they fetch quite a lot second hand

That's a Mk1. I'm very happy with my S10, wouldn't have bought a Rapid even if I had had enough money, but the Mk2 has a stock which most people prefer.

mk1 has rounded buddy bottle made from steel, where the mk2 is flat bottomed & made from ali. (or an alloy).
