Thanks all,
I have tried a strimmer engine with a hose attached to it, but to no avail.

Moles not rabbits !
My wife's uncle tried flushing out moles from their burrows in his lawn with a running hosepipe.
He thought it a good idea until he read that moles just love watery ground.
