Mick...i have 2, one in each type of wood and two styles(N5 and N6 ), you're more than welcome to pop over to Emley Moor on Saturday so you can have a look and see what they feel like.

The S200 stock seems to come and go from the Maccari site.

It was missing for ages, then appeared and so on.
    Good luck with your answer

Thank you very much for that offer mate, If I get time on saturday i will be over for sure, that would be much appreciated.

BTW I have just received an E-mail from them anyway so this answers my question and anyone elses if they was wondering too !. This is the actual e mail & it is very blunt.......

Pay Attention that man! (Said in Best Captain Mainwairing voice)

Methinks you are talking about Antonio Gentilini's stocks, not Maccari's?

    Frenchi,

i have one of the Gentilini stocks (www.ginb.it) for the s200 for my son to use. He describes it as sleek (and light) and feels solid.

    Well worth a look.

The thing to note is that some guys have not been happy with the varnish finish that antonio does. I can't remember who it was, but there is a thread on the BBS somewhere, where the thread creator is looking at getting his new stock in the raw, and he will oil it himself.

I have had two stocks from Antonio. The first was for a 97k and went to Paul Hudson. The second is on my sons s200. both are lovely to look at and well made.

Someone recently pointed out that the little "Ginb" tag on the side is also Sterling Silver. A nice touch that shows the bloke cares about what he is making.

And it's SO nice that I feel guilty about taking it off Engin every time I take the rifle out to use it

It's so good that I persuaded my wife to buy me another of these stocks for my HW80 as a Christmas present

I'm currently trying to justify getting another 97K simply so I can get Antonio to make me one of his FT stocks...

    Paul.
