Whilst shooting my AA410 today it started to vent air out of the barrel, not good (especially scince its not even a month old) which left me with two choices take it back to where I bought it and wait for them to sort it(20 miles by bus as I hate driving into Newcastle) or try to fix it my self
So I decided to have a go myself so armed with a nice clean work area, the kitchen bench, a set of allen keys, and some lint free cloths, I slowly set about stripping my pride and joy (I was having second thoughts by the time I got the scope off but decided to press on anyway) so off with the stock, then the barrel and cocking assembly, then the resevoir, then I undid the large allen bolt at the back of the action etc, etc.
Well anyway I ended up polishing a couple of parts, the striker guide rod, firing valve assembly before I put it back together and I must say that it was nowhere near as difficult as I thought that it was going to be and 90 minutes later its working as good as new, just need to pop along to my local gun shop to get it chrono'd again and have to wait until I can re-zero my scope again as I'd just managed to get it done before it started leaking, ah well I suppose that's life at least now I feel confident enough to work on a precharged rifle
