    Talking Bsa airsporter Restoration help

Hi guys and gals, I have just got hold of a BSA airsporter ser no GL4361.
I have no idea how old it is, but want to clean tweak and bring the old dog back to health.
The stock is no problem for me, but I have no idea where to send the gun for a re blue-black.
Perhaps I should rub it down with some wet and dry, and get some pro to spray it instead?
I know I can get spares at chambers guns, but any advice help, links to persons or company’s that can help, would be appreciated.
I have not had an airsporter for 25 years, and the last one broke 2 fingers, yes I squeezed the trigger whilst……… lol
    Thanks for reading
I do also have a nice new HW 80 k as well, just for the record. )

GL should make it a MK VI dating from 1976-83. (According to Mr Hiller )

Fill in your profile location and you may get some quite specific info of gun smiths in your neck of the woods that do a good re-blue.

I used to get all my spares from a guy in Birmingham who specialised in BSA and Webley rifles he was really well known and helpful and most of his parts were genuine manufacturers parts. Perhaps somebody else remembers his name if he's still in business.
