ft pisol comps

hi can any one give me some details of any ft pistol clubs ?

the lincolnshire /nottinghamshire district would be the best for travling to .
also what are the top pistols used .

I've never heard of a club dedicated solely to pistol FT. However, NEFTA winter league run a pistol competition alongside the FT and Silhouette comps.
NEFTA. The nearest NEFTA club to you would be LNER FTC or just a little further at Anston FTC.
Pistols used vary massively. You will see fifty quid plinkers all the way up to a thousand pound modified Steyrs and just about everything in between.
Generally I suggest something with a little more oomph than average as targets can be quite long if you are only pushing two ft.lb but if you are good enough that won't matter too much. Pistols used that do consistantly well are things like Steyrs and Falcons but they are generally owned by those that take their pistol shooting a little more seriously than most and are generally better than the average pistol shot in the first place.
