    Adam Smith's gun

I'm curious, does anyone know what gun Amam Smith is shooting in the video "Total Airgun Hunting - volume one", when he and Terry Doe go off chasing squirrels? (It's a break barrel, left handed)

Sorry not sure!! what do you guys shoot in JHB? over here there are loads of things like rabbits etc...
I should be over there soon, and was wondering what is the main species to shoot over there. (using an air rifle)
    Cheers

I'm not totally sure, but from memory I think it's a Theoben Sirocco. It's in .20 cal. I have shot it, it's a nice rifle although being a right handed person it's a bit 'odd'.

    Sirocco Classic.

Yup, Adams rifle is a L/H H.E Sirocco Classic Carbine in .20 cal.

I fell in love with that rifle first time I saw it in the mag, and hankered after one ever since.
I now also have a L/H (yup, i'm a southpaw as well) Classic Carbine in .177 - my pride and joy. <!--graemlin:--> <!--graemlin:-->

Thanks guys, it's a marvelous looking gun the Sirocco! Whenever I watch the video I pay close attention to the gun. Comodor, I shoot ferrals, mainly but there's plenty of doves and Indian minors. We don't have rabbits in SA (rabbits are European animals only) Some poor sod in the past tried to import and introduce them to SA's countryside but they never caught on - I think the weather conditions here are too harsh and the preditors are unforgiving. We have hares in SA (generally bigger, much faster and too wild) They are mainly active at night. During the day, they disappear. If you want to hunt them during the day, you need one or two hunting dogs to sniff them out of their hideouts. But then when they come out they run like speed demons, you wont even get a chance for a single shot. But lamping them is enjoyable (and they can be found not in Johannesburg - mainly in the wild outside the cities - they are wary of populated areas and human settlements).

    Cheers

They are from India and were brought into South Africa as pets. But some escaped and now they are a pest to be shot on sight with no mercy.

That's right, just found out that they were brought in from the Indian subcontinent - and man are they a pain! I bought my first air rifle (Gamo Hunter 440 in .177) just for them and now I have the AA s410k in 177. I can't remember how many I've destroyed so far.
