    GOOD LUCK!

i love bull pups and i have seen quite a few.
people dont think about where they will place their cheek when firing the rifle, so make a provision in your fiendish plan to make a cover where your cheek will rest or it will be touching freezing cold metal instead!
    regards

Does this mean there are shorter bottles or is this why every pic i have seen of a s16 has got a bipod on it.

I don't think you can actually have a bullpup version of the S16 as the end of the butt is a functioning part of the action.

In wooden-stocked rifles, the stock is really just there to support the rifle on the shoulder, so chopping it off won't alter the rifle's function. In the S16 you can't just remove the bottle, the action is basically as short as it can get - unless you do find a smaller bottle, but that will mean less shots for the loss of a couple of inches in length.

You'd have to move the grip/trigger and dovetail rail forward by 8 inch or so (not an easy job) and then use a 400 cc Theoben bottle on a 180 degree adapter piped upto the gun. It's likely to look a total cock and even then the bolt will be in a spot that's awkward to cycle. I'd give it a miss.

VIPER you are right on the pull length of the s16.Even Nick Jenks rates it as over two inches too long.
