Lamp's - Which ONE!

Looking at the deben range from:

Which one would you lot say is the best VALUE!! Please dont say just the most expensive one as that would be silly <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->. I like the look of the mini one'sand what are the new atom range like.

Better fixing to scope and very small. Ideal beam range for air rifle work

I tried a few lamps from friends first. One had 1 million candle power, much to bright, scared things 2 fields away, The logun was nice, but i found the red filter to strong to shoot with.
I bought the Tracer Atom with red filter, its light, it works, can shoot with the red filter, has a good beam but not to bright, i like the clip on mount i can turn the lamp to the side if i wish, put it straight on my other rifle, easy removed to dry scope if i have been out in the rain, battery is NICE SIZE it matters, one i borrowed had a larger battery, after going out for 3 hours it did not hang nicely and i found myself leaning to one side, switch is silent if pressed firmly.

Down side, a new bulb is £16 NOT CHEEP, the leads are stiff, if Deban had put one of those springy leads from the rifle to battery it would have made a good lamp even better. I could not afford the brightness control, but i may get one, one day.

hi ian tried tracer and logan and to be honest i find the logan the better of the two not to bright so it doesnt scare the bunnys off three fields away but its a waste of time with the red filter not bright enough

100M beam should be enough for an airgun! Has the dimmer switch, lightweight design and the snap on mount. The add doesn't say anything about the battery charger so I have e-mailed them. At £64 it is seems a good price.

What do you guys think.

i've just started lamping and have a Logun Lamp, cant fault it, it's a bit to dull using a red filter but the Amber one works much better,

you still get a good beam(not too bright)and you can pick up the eyes with a slight silhouette of a body

Ps. if you put some silver foil inside the shade, it gives a little more light out.

I cant see why anyone would need anything more powerful than the Logun lamp for use with an airgun, lets face it you are usually shooting under 40yds! Even using FAC airguns for lamping the range is usually under 70yds

Mega powerful lamps are useless for rabbits, the Logun will do the job with ease, better still are the lamps from Deben with dimmer adjustment
