    A lot about the infrastructure that supports the UK Stealth is rather iffy - especially (IMHO) its prime mover, who will spin almost any yarn to maintain interest in the rifle system. I ignore everything that emanates from the UK distributors as they appear to have at best (IMHO), a rather tenuous grasp of reality, if not the truth.

    The American market (which incidentally gave us the weapons we now know as the Stealth/Storm/Shadow/Talon - designed and improved in Texas) is much better served.

    It's sad that such an excellent piece of kit is directed by such a loser in the UK <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="Roll Eyes" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    Hi Chris,

    Very guardedly at the moment as I'm having some considerable problems with an/some individual(s) who are trying to shut me down.........and are playing silly games with the account!

    The blokes on here who matter to me have my private address - but I'm afraid I don't give that out unless I trust the recipient.

    However, how can I help you?

    regards

    The E-mail i sent to your hot mail acount

    Hi

    I would be really grateful if you can help from reading your web site your something of an expert regarding the gunpower range of rifles.

    I have ordered a 26 inch .22 barrel from mac 1 and I would like to tune my stealth for accuracy and make the most out of this gun. What I mean is really I want to spend money on it.

    Can you suggest any modifications I can do apart from the usual hammer spring setup? I don’t know how heavy the hammer should be, is there an ideal weight,

    Can I use a bigger valve on the bottle but tune the top hat down to get faster lock times thus retain 12ft’lb as I don’t want to break the law.

    I am new to airguns and have probably used the wrong terminology.

    I would be very grateful if you can help.

    Blow me Chris! I could write a small book on that lot. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    I heard that they had taken over the distribution of Gunpower products.

    Hi Guys,

    AFAIK Gunpower UK remains firmly in the hands of 'Oor Geoff' <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="Roll Eyes" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

    I doubt that a UK concern would take Gunpower over as I suspect the licencing would be hideously complicated because the rifle is effectively American..despite certain claims that it's a wholly British design.

    Distribution of new rifles however is another matter and I understand that several suppliers have now started selling the Stealth again after dropping them due to reliability and supply problems.

    Having said all that, getting spares can still be problematic as (a) 'Our Geoff' often seems to be unreliable, hard to pin down, forgetful and evasive (b) His parts cost roughly the same, weight for weight, as Sterling Silver and (c) Stocks of available spares appear to fluctuate according to some strange lunar cycle. This is why folks like Leupy do so well making decent aftermarket parts.

    Get the impression Gunpower fails to ring my bell? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> Excellent rifle - lousy service......!

    I found the pdf files at Lynx to be very insightful with regard to Geoff Darvill's association with Airforce.

    Thanks for ther added info blokes.

    Tim, fascinating reading . I had a rough idea of what those PDF's contained but certainly not the details. Excellent!!

    Trev, it does appear Mr D' Eville cares less and less about his customers doesn't it? <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="Roll Eyes" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> I contacted you a while ago about bits - are you supplying parts on a commercial basis (ie, if I pass folks your way will you track me down and kneecap me) or are you only working on favours?? I'm still thinking about improved hammer springs but I don't really want to just dump the situation in your lap, especially if you're not going to make a couple of honest quid out of it.

    Nothing easier Mike! If you hang around the Dutch BBs's you'll find there are several ways to go about it. <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->
