Ive heard alot of rave reviews on both rifles and just wondered which one is THE DADDY!! <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_cool.gif" alt="Cool" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->
Do you mean FT or HFT?
Out of the box, they're both sporting rifles and as such are more suited to HFT.
You can of course use them for FT if you want but there are more specialised rifles available for that discipline.
FT tends to favour deeper stocks than used on sporters.
It won't be long I'm sure before we see a Hornet in an FT stock as the gun is certainly up to the job.
Having owned both I would say the Hornet as it is regulated so more consistant shots.
Hornet is the one. For FT you want the rifle length Hornet as it'll do 95 shots or thereabouts in .177. The carbine will do around 55 whereas the S200 won't get you round the course at 40 shots or so.
The Hornet has a nice trigger too whereas the S200s is a more basic unit.
I would of course rate the Hornet over the S200 having owned both and still happily using the Hornet.
I think the introduction of the Hornet is a revolutionary move by BSA.
Bringing a regulated gun in at such a competitive price.

got to be the hornet 177 of all my guns ie theo 1 and 2s + more its the hornet i seem to pick up when i go out great gun
