rapid elan caliber change

I am considering changing my elan from .22 to .20 I know the parts that I will need to change eg barrel magazine and bolt probe just woundering if any one else has tried this with an elan also woundering shot difference between the two calibers I currently get about 55 in .22 any advice would be greatfully received

Well, well - I was almost ashamed to admit I had an MFR in 20, but it seems I'm in the vanguard of airgun fashion. I like it too - nice groups with ft trophies. Doesn't seem to like the lead exterminators much though.

Hi Lionel,

My MFR is .177 - haven't shot it properly yet as I'm having a custom barrel / shroud made up for it - but I really like the balance / feel of it - way better than the Mk2 IMHO.

Hi Buddyboy - yes, I'm enjoying my MFR a lot more than the mk2 as well. So far I haven't shot it in anger at anything fluffy, but it's performed well at the range. I haven't quite got used to its lightness yet for the standing shots although a strong wind wasn't helping either but I'm looking forward to more practice with it. Why the barrel/ shroud replacement? The factory ones seem pretty good to me.

Sunday could be tricky - are you ever around during the week or is work interfering with your airgunning?
