Got a mate with a Rapid who has tried to reduce the power level for indoor shooting. The problem being that the nut where the allen inserts at the rear of the action(item 7b in the handbook)will not budge in any direction.Any help would be appreciated

It's a conventional thread and should unscrew anticlockwise. Try using release agent and if that fails a blast from a hot air gun might do the trick. Just make sure you use a good quality hex-key which fits properly, and it helps to hold the action in a vice with leather, or other non-marking, jaws.

this shouldn't seize, neither the adjuster screw or body will rust.....
unless of course someone has deliberatly loc-tited the screw in place.....

I had to use some PTFE tape on mine as it was loose, so its possible that its been locktited, if this is so then give it a good warm up and it should undo nicely <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_cool.gif" alt="Cool" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->
I know of some shops that locktite the power adjuster.
Depends how the law is interpreted "must not be capable of exceeding" and has a lot to do with the regged mark 2.
