    Problem with Daystate Mk3 ft

My gun has recently started to squeek from the action (or possibly the reg )when I fire it.

Has anyone else experienced simular problems and can offer some advice.

I am reluctant to send it back as it has been returnd to daystate several times

Can you not tke it back to the dealer rather than Daystate direct

Did you buy direct or via a dealer and what have the previous problems been? If you have had nothing but trouble from day one, you are protected under the sale of goods act and are legally entitled to a full refund or exchanged for a new item the same.

had exactly the same problem with his Mk3 a few weeks ago.

He also found the fps was changing after 15/20 shots and then becoming static again.

If you continue to be having major problems, as a lot of people do with the mk 3, I would take it back for a refund and purchase something a little more reliable. Nothing worse than getting to a shoot to find your' rifle is U S.

    problem with Mk 3

Had the gun directly from Daystate who have been excelent about the problems I have had.
Are these guns realy that unreliable?

Sammo What did you do to resolve your problem?
    thanks guys

The Mk3 reg is made completely from stainless steel and runs extremely tight tolerances, so it is likely that this is causing a 'squeak' as it refills. It will not affect the performance, and will probably go away when the tolerances expand a bit - i.e. it gets a bit warmer. If it is worrying you, give us a call.

No, The Mk111 is a reliable gun, Daystate had a few problems with the MK111A regs and batteries but was all sorted on the B model.
I have now had mine for 8 months, with no trouble.
Every manufactuer has quality issues from time to time, Daystate has them less than others(AA) <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> So don't panic and enjoy your purchase.
The squeek is more than likely coming from the reg as it draws air from the cylinder.

How many other rifle manufacturer's even look on this site and offer advice as a member?

Well done to Tony and his team. I will not even buy another gun from any other manufacturer now.

My Mk 3 still produces an enormas 'big grin factor' even after the length of time I have had it.

Looking forward to an even bigger big grin factor soon, I hope! <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->

Long, I would double check the rifle is chrono'ing a consistant run of readings. If this is found to be acceptable, then it may just be as TB advises and down to "tight tolerances", but it must be offputting if it squeaks between every shot. My dogs would probably think it was vermin and do the right thing!

Many look but do not actively participate in a productive fashion.

I like to keep an open mind but Daystate's customer service would be a hard act to keep up with by any manufacturer.

    So does mine!

HARDRAR, you seem to have a very negative attitude towards the mk3 daystate? I have the A version and only problem i had was the reg which daystate replaced for the one now on the B version. I have slagged my gun off for the wiring inside the stock which i find very low market for the price the gun cost me but reliability i have not had a problem since the new reg was fitted.Just remember HARDRAR all the rifles in their 1st version guise do have problems not just the mk3 daystate. just give it a break mate as there are loads of guys on here who love them.
