    HAENAL Model 311 MATCH

    Hi ,
I picked this up recently as I love bolt action rifles ....its a Haenal , but this model is in .177 calibre , 4,5mm and not the earlier 4.4mm , which the German makers seemed to favour.

Can anyone tell me anything about it - its a Match model ( there may have been variants ) and has a true peep sight with different apertures . Its not light , but is exceptionally well balanced , and with the front tunnel foresight is easy to hold on aim .

The finest bolt action, tap loading, target rifle ever made (and the only one ).

Some more info but sadly no pics here.

    Hi Ged,

I have some BB shot which measures up at 4.4mm IIRC. I can sort you some out if you want to give it a go.

I am receiving my first Haenal this week, a 312 match rifle with a side-lever and sliding-breech loading. Interested to see how accurate the design is, it looks pretty chunky too. I wonder what happened to the factory, must have gone under before the end of Communism in East Germany...
