And because collectables can sometimes be hard to price, if you don't know what it's worth then ask first. If you don't get an answer then think of a figure you'd be happy with, give it a punt, and reduce it if it doesn't sell.

Similarly, although not BBS policy to enforce, it would also help greatly once your collectable has sold if you could leave the asking price as advertised at the time of sale intact on your ad please, so others can refer to it when (a) setting prices for selling, and (b) comparing prices when buying.
