Doesn't the Omega have a re-settable safety catch the protrudes out of the rear of the action?

Nope! IIRC Patriots are only available FAC - this rifle is not FAC and, as it presently stands, doesnt actually shoot (yet). Its not a mainspring or piston seal problem.

Its NOT an after market stock or deluxe stock. Its what was fitted (I think) when the rifle left the factory in ....

the stock has the lines of a 70's milbro or is it diana but looks too nice, though it does look like cheap pressed in chequering.

the bugger looks so familiar to me- frustrating

    And the answer is:

    HERE !

    I must try harder.

Well done to those that were oh so close but the nearest was IKARMA who wins my Golden Anorak award.

From what little information I can gather its had a gas ram conversion fitted at the Webley (Theoben ? ) factory. Possibly a prototype for a future rifle series.

    End block.

    Ram

    Stock modification.

Hi Ian, well it wasn't my guess @ post #6 (copied above ) then so is it a one-off factory prototype gas ram Webley & Scott Omega ? .... Ha ha. Nice one matey. See, I can keep a secret (helped by the fact that I've been away all day and could'nt get to a pc ). Well done my friend, good sport, and a very good find : ATB.
