    Mk1 BSA Mercury ser no z12166 .22

Metal trigger version. Stocks been refinished with oil and is pretty nice.
Barrel could do with a repaint and so could fluted trigger block (its been touched up with a not-quite the same colour smoothright) while the cylinder is good for its age and original. New breach and piston seals, leather (perished) piston buffer replaced with rubber. Dreaded 'ox' mainspring works fine with modded piston guide to take up the slack. Insides now moly lubed and pretty smooth 'Slight' play to the lockup which could be sorted with a new detent spring and another quick go of the breach jaws in a padded vice, (I would do this if I werent selling) or you could convert it to a mercury 's' spec with an adjustable breach bolt.
I'm being 100% honest about its condition inside and out. Some slight work on the lockup and a repaint would make this a really nice rifle, but its very useable as it is.

£45 plus post of your choice, i would be happier to pass it over by hand though. Shepreth HFT or collect from my house.
