I asked at the local working mens club if I could have the old baize when they had their snooker table recovered. I was lucky has they had had it recently recovered and had kept the old baize in case anyone asked for it

Good source for that kind of stuff
I have used 'Fablon' self adhesive backed green baize in the past, but this really needs to be applied to a non porous surface to stick properly.
Green felt is OK, but I prefer the thinner baize material, particularly for re-lining gun cases.
Any good fabric shop should be able to supply different colours of baize material, and if you can find someone who uses it professionally, you should be able to get large offcuts from them at a good price.
Cheers for the Info !
