Yep the earlier short barrel version was the 'AR7' ,or the later Air-Arms short barrel version was the 'Combat'.

No problem. . There are a few models that I still need to complete my collection. Which one of them is the 'Combat'.

But like I said to you in PM; Buying Jackals is on hold for the moment.

    Regards
    Paddy.

That'll give us mortals/novices in the world of Jackals a chance then.
also, one has been brought to my attention that isnt an ar7/combat but does look in very very good condition..

I have a couple of Jackals, one is similar to your collection but the other has a longer fore end (stock) which covers further up the barrel.
I will sort some photos out if you want to see it.
the other one was featured in "Bulmer does a strip" but Phil (Bulmer) rebuilt both of them for me and managed to get some original parts to do it.

...oh and what a nightmare it was to get parts! They did no end of little changes to the design and just when you think you've sorted some parts you get rudely surprised. The end result was worth it though. Watching Lou smacking cherry tomatoes at 50 yards was a pretty good result.

I didn't either! But once I'd serviced and fettled it Lou demolished a row of cherry tomatoes on the back of the 50 yard range -with open sights! He takes his time but I've seen Lou shoot groups with his HW45 pistol that have beaten reasonable shooters with a rifle.

It's either one of these listed below depending what it says on the cylinder.

On top of the cylinder if it says 'JACKAL' :- it's an early Sussex Armoury Hi-Power.

On top of the cylinder if it says 'AIR ARMS' :- it's an Air Arms Hi-Power.
