    Thumbs up Somewhere to shoot

I am looking for somewhere in the Upminster, Essex area to shoot my collection of airguns (mainly vintage).

Not too bothered about shooting quarry, just somewhere with a decent range where I can test the guns and have a general plink.
I used to use my garden but having recently moved, I don't have the same range has before.

As far as my background is concerned, I've been shooting airguns since 1982 and co-founded the Highwood Field Target Club back in 1985. I remember when I turned up with one of the first HW77 rifles all those years ago. Talk about a crowd puller. And I've still got the gun! Superb!

    Nick,
Might not be that near , but Lea Valley Air Gun Club @ Hertford , has the Ranges, where you can shoot.

We have up to four Ranges in use most weeks.

Open all Day Saturdays , the Club caters for all disciplines in Rifles and Pistols or for those that want to Practise or Plink.

Ranges go out to 60 yards.

If you put SG142JA into www.streetmap.co.uk
The Range is to the left of Postcode , Hanging Grove , the entrance is on the right side from the A119 , large LVSA
    leading into Ranges.
Air Gun Side use the Front Ranges on Saturday.

As the Ranges have never been issued a Postal Code.
    Above is the nearest available.

Check in @ the Club house.
    First Visit is Free.

Thanks for the info. I will certainly pay a visit.

Ideally though, I need somewhere fairly local where I can pop over as and when. Probably something like a field where I can set up a few paper targets at set ranges.

Don't ask for much do I?!
