    Hi M8

Bramshall is indeed on a fortnightly basis.

The club shot yesterday on Sunday 22nd Feb 2004. The next shoot there will be on the 7th March 2004. The start time used to be 1pm but folk are arriving there now as early as @ 11am.

    Think so Jools

I think the lads were right with the clamp at the front causing the prob.

I think the original mistake I made was to slacken it off .....then line the barrel up centrally with my eye and then really tighten the clamp's 3 grub screws up.....still getting accuracy probs. I think I may have still lined it up slightly off centre and then the tight clamp was effecting the end of the barrel.

I loosened them again......shot a couple of pellets with it slack to let the barrel resonate and 'seat' itself. Actually shot more accurate this way. Then I pinched them up when the barrel had settled. May be a load of ****** but it seemed to work and it was grouping very tight indoors.

Shot the course outside....difficult to tell with the wind but the gun seemed to be hitting where it should.

    Cheers

    I'm very confused.

The club meets there every other week and the next scheduled shoot was on the 7th March 2004.

I didn't go this week as I have just bought a van that needs a lot of work and my back is also knackered so I missed this one (I've been to every other shoot at Bramshall since it started a few months ago).

I heard nothing from Dave Mills to say that there would be no shoot. The only thing I can think of is that you came to the HFT at Bramshall which was in the clay pit near the paintball arena. A lot of the shooters spend all day in the indoor range near the farmhouse and sometimes Dave puts the outdoor course out in a small coppice not far from there.

    Jools.......did you go this week.

I'm very sorry that you had a wasted journey but I still can't understand why there would be no one there.........last few club days have seen a couple of dozen shooters.

    no Boz,
we all went to milride this week thinking the wind wouldnt get the better of us
I feel sure that most of the usual people would have been there as you say in the indoor range.... doesnt Dave take a group of kids for tuition ?
