    Smile Lamping experience

Thanks for the great tips especially the blocking of the rabbits escape route to the hedge with the main beam and the "strobing". Going to try both of these next time I'm out and hopefully this will increase the bag.

    new to lamping

good posts guy, put one up earlier cos i've had trouble with rabbits spooking when I put the lamp on them, now I'll be trying some of the tips you've shared. I'm using a deben tracer atom lamp, can't say I've had trouble with the connections yet pretty pleased with the kit ,no dimmer on mine though, will have to see if I can get one fitted.

    lamping

been lamping 100's of times with the dogs, but now going to try and get out with the gun.
think the same steps could be usefull.

I will use a red filter to get up close then is it best to go to white light to shoot or can you shoot with the red and aim for the eye?

    regards

    rob,

    rob,
You can shoot on the red filter , it takes a bit of getting used to but once you've done it a few times you'll be able to pick up the eye and then the rest of the head to get your aim point right. Worth having a practice on targets and paper too.

I love lamping been a while since i did it mind.

Improvised and made a red filter from a tizer juice bottle once! that worked very well!!
