    The only way is up...

Whats your 3 target average at the moment?

We still hope to have the surrey open on Nov 3rd, but we are very short of qualified range officers to help out. LSR is still fairly new.

I think the decision to go ahead or cancel is beign made at a meeting this week.

What club are you a member of?

Average is about 85. Had some really bad cards in the last few rounds.

Just waiting for my ticket to come through. Kind hoping I might be able to rack the score up a little using my own gun. With my own sights etc.

My club is Surbiton Postal Rifle Club. I know we've got about 5-6 people signed up for the Open. I still fancy it but doubt I'll score well.

    Whats your average mate?

It will make a difference when you have your own rifle, no one playing with the sightsand you can set it up to suit just you.

I average 93 (highest ever was a 98) unless there is a sticker on the card where the average drops down to about 91. Those darn stickers!

You too!! lol thats uncanny!! Exactly those words echo around our sporting rifle range every night of the week!!

Its some sort of target shooting illness. sticker-phobia.

What rifle do you use for the league? I'm after a nice ruger with ...if i can stretch to it a second hand Anschutz diopter set.

    I've a sako finfire.

I also shoot in the lingfield league, one of the competitions is rapid fire. For this I use a 10/22 (no actual ruger bits) in an evolution stock from www.rimfiremagic.co.uk.

Both rifles are scoped, though I have shot some of the rapid fires with a Cobra halo sight, just for a change.

    Thumbs up

I shoot in the Hendon league gallery rifle, open sights, 25 yards standing.
I won the last comp but I was in division 9, I'm in division 2 now. I average around 96 using my Winchester 94 .357 with homeloads.
If I had access to a 20 yard range I would enter the .22 comps aswell.

I shoot Hendon league light weight sporting 20 metres any sights with an air rifle, my average is 89 I think?
Too many air guns to list but to count them all I need to take my shoes & socks off as well

Yup, joined first time for last summer's league. Its a lot harder with little lables on the cards isn't it? Thinking about giving gallery rifle a go too, but truth be told I'd be much better advised to spend my time trying to shoot one rifle better than two badly...

    Jerry!!

Yep those stickers do have some sort of magical anti-magnetism dont they?

They seem to repell bullets away from the bull....
