    Vostock air rifles

Does anyone know anything about Vostok air rifles? ie where they were/are made, were they any good etc

A colleague at work's father has what he describes as "a 1983, 0.177 lever arm Vostok in good working order".

I assume these are not highly valued pieces and I don't think he has any plans to sell but I was just curious, I've never heard of them before.

    Regards

My Baikal IJ38 that I first owned about 1985 is a Vostock.

I will look later to see if it is marked anywhere.

I have some recollection that Russian competitors in International Small Bore Target Shooting used Vostok rifles - again my memory is hazy but perhaps they were made at the Baikal works to a very high spec ?
