    MK6 Airsporter question

    Can anyone help?
I'm in the process of refurbishing the above, I'm getting the back block and loading tap lever re-annodised with some other parts I'm having done.
The question is, is the threaded cup on the back block (the piece the cylinder screws on to) located on a pin (can't see one in the parts diagram) or should I mark it's position before I remove it? As surely it's tightened position will determin what angle of rotation the cylinder ends up in, won't it?
    Hope that's clear enough
    Cheers, Paul.

I remember sevicing my Airsporter from the 1970s and the end cap screwed off def no pin involved. Beware though on the last few threads cos there will be spring pressure to overcome. I used to hold the assembly by the barrel so as not to squash the cylinder and apply downward pressure as I was unscrewing.
    hope this helps

    Paul.

If the steel threaded insert on the alloy trigger is not lose it should tighten up back in the same spot. The insert thightens up on a serrated face, so will notch round into different positions, alowing the trigger block to tighten up
in the correct or incorrect position.

With the spring and underlever removed just screw the trigger back
into place and ensure it tightens up in line, if it dont then the steel insert
has moved and will need adjusting by slacking of the nut and rotating it.
