Maybe a silly question for this section but here goes

I know you lads on this section specialise in collectable/vintage air rifles/pistols. But were do you source your latest aquisitions and are bargains still available? Sadly I have had in my possession some really good and now very desirable old air rifles over the years, sadly very few of these are still in my ownership. My wants list are the Air arms Khamsin with walnut stock which I owned in the mid 80's and swapped for a poxy rimfire, long gone now along with my FAC. An Air Arms Firepower which I also owned once. A Webley Mk III or a HW35 E (still fairly common ) are new on the wants list. I was recently lucky enough to source some period scopes off BBS Member NortonAMC. I'd also love to get hold of a tin of Champion Ballistic pellets most of these items purely for nostalgia reasons.

I'd be interested to hear any potential purchasing tips from you guys . The cheaper the better , like most guys these days I have young kids with expensive tastes, leaving me with Champagne tastes but beer money .

Hiya Gary, welcome to the darkside.....
I've just bought a sharp innova with the original galway moderator and adapter and also previously bought a Jackal Firepower from a site called www.guntrader.co.uk so thats not a bad place to have a nosey now and then. i think I.J. is most definately the guru on where to source stuff (sorry to offend any other magpies) He trawls the north wests gunshops and when he finds something of interest that he already owns/doesnt require, he posts it up here and shares it with the rest of us.
i dont have a khamsin and although i know its not like owning your own, you may borrow my firepower ANYTIME you wish. HTH

Another thing to consider, as a rule of thumb, is that when you're skint, you'll see all manner of bargains pass you by. When you've actually saved some money for the purpose, not a sausage.

I have been unable & missed about 5 Jackals because of not being able to fund my hobby (addiction).

    Regards
