Question Very old DIANA .177 PISTOL ..Made in Germany.

    .
    Following a bereavement ,
I’ve been asked to value and sell this old pistol,
as haven’t a clue to value of it,will endevour to get best I can for the seller.

It’s an old DIANA .177 AIR PISTOL with a few old pellets/darts in an old Players Navy Cut tin

MADE IN GERMANY stamped below trigger guard

    Ap 200 mm front > back…150 mm tall…weighs just over ½ kilo..

ALL is in very good working order, good springs, and it appears reasonably powerful.
Strange cocking system requires the long bolt in the base being pulled out with its supplied tool with slot for the base pin,
on firing, pin returns to original position in handle,
barrel pulled out a tad towards the front and tipped a little to load pellet, and sprung to return position..

    SUBJECT TO POSTS BELOW,
AND MANY THANKS FOR ALL OF THEM,

I HAVE HAD A PM OFFERING THE MID RANGE £65.00,SO WILL GRACIOUSLY ACCEPT...AND THANKS AGAIN

That's a prewar Diana first model tinplate. Hiller had them down at £30 to £90 but that was 14 years ago. FWIW the current Blue Book has them down at a similar value now.

I really don't know but it sounds fair enough as an asking price. It looks like it's in pretty good condition for its age and has the cocking aid.
