    stone or ceramic steel

    How do you feel an oilstone compares to a ceramic 'steel' or rod as these seem a lot easier to use?

    They do different jobs, Ken.
    A steel will set the 'teeth' of a blade back in line, whereas a stone will put a bevel on the steel.
