Cool guide very useful, Is it the same method for axes? I've just bought a Gransfors axe which is beautiful and came razor sharp.

Similar, yes, but obviously the angle will differ.
Take a look at an expert doing it.

KME KNife sharpener, everyone can have a razor sharp knife. I have one and it works perfectly for every knife.

Cheers for all the info guys, got my oil stone and will be spending a few hours sharpening my knives, while not trying to loose a finger or two. Might even get the kitchen knives done as well (get some extra brownie points from the lady of the house).

It'll work on any normal 'straight' blade.
    Practice is the key.

    Video gone?

Useful guide thanks Snock, but the video link seems to be dead... Anywhere I can see it in action?

    Cheers.

Okay. I'll take a look and maybe upload again, if I can.

    Thanks.
