Or advertise in both as the Sportsman is now quite collectable and when it comes to getting hold of collectable kit I've struck gold five times via wanted adverts in this section whereas my ads in the wanted section seem of little use if an item I am after is more than five years past it's production date. This said, and having read your wanted post above, I think I can help as have a friend locally who may be selling just such a beast. As he is also a registered BBS member, I'll p-m him a link to this thread. Finally, as Stuart has already said welcome to the BBS although you've already been a member for a year, I'll ad the caveat "and collector's corner" . Atvb one and all and Happy New Year to the bloomin' lot of ya : Gareth W-B.

    Hi Guys

Yep, joined a year or so ago, used the name "Newbie" off the top of my head and now can't get rid of it !!!!

Thanks for the info guys and help in the sportsman quest which is one of many but i don't need to tell you all that do i, as you all have your own never expiring wanted and wish lists, this site was not designed for singular ownership of any one species and i think tends to cost us all a little more regards expenditure around this time of year for some reason or other.....maybe its because we...no not going there, Shes on the hoover behind me....

the only difference that i've noticed is that the breech area of the mk1 is made of machined round steel bar, the mk2 looks to have machined alumimium square stock, i think everything else is the same...
    here's a pic of the breech of mine though i don't have a pic of a mark2

    john

oh, i don't think it's greedy to have two, there's one or two on here that has squillions of bsa airsporters- that's greedy
