Lifted this from BBC Sport site.

"His medal haul includes a total of nine gold, three silver and three bronze medals won across four events - 50m Free, 10m Air, 25m Centre-Fire and 25m Standard Pistol - and includes a clean sweep of four Golds from four starts in the 1998 Games in Kuala Lumpur. His fifteen medals make him the most successful English Commonwealth Games athlete ever."

    Congratulations to the man.

It does seems WELL overdue particularly as some competitors seem to turn up at one games win one race and live off the glory for the rest of their days.

    Credit where its due.

He probably won't get a knighthood because his skills are'nt recognised in this country. They only give knighthoods in this country to people like Seb Coe,and what did he achieve? Oh yes he got it for running in a straight line.

Mick Gaunt presented me with a couple of silver cups I won, at our annual club dinner and presentation night in December, had a long talk to him after he's a great bloke, congratulations Mick.
I love my country, but fear my government
