    Hidden Treasure

    Happy New Year !

Just wondering what were your best collectable airgun finds of 2007 ?
I particually like the tales that begin with, " I was just walking past this skip and I noticed..."

    Cheers !

Hi silva and Happy New Year to you. I think mine would have to be my mint boxed 1974 Milbro Diana Series 70 Model 71 rifle that came my way via BBS good guy PHOBUS after I had all but given up hope of ever finding one. You see PHOBUS saw one advertised in an ad in the classified section of a magazine. He p-m'd me the number, I phoned the seller (a new outdoor pursuits centre on the south coast if my memory serves me right) and a deal was done for £140 inc. Royal Mail 24hr Special delivery. Was an extra happy bunny that week I can tell you ... next ...

I was just walking past this skip and I noticed a BMW parked behind it, which reminded me to check out the German auction site egun when I got home.

On egun I saw an ad for a scarce Walther LG52 rifle, in bits, but with a walnut match stock with the built-in diopter rearsight. The price was 45 euro (about £32).

    Happy new year to all.

    Mine actually found me

It was a SA Parabellum, however the seller couldn't fix a price, but he did like the look of my Yunker 1. Me being me I can't get rid or sell anything. So I found another Yunker 1 that someone else had, brought that then done the trade.

I can say that all three parties were happy with the outcome

    Regards
    Paddy.

This has only ever happened to other people, but about 10 years ago I brought a second hand bureau from a small ad. When we got it home I could hear a "clonk" ever time we moved it. After setting it up I looked carefully over it and found a "secret" drawer!

Inside was a nearly mint condition Webley Mk11 Target pistol!! - It's now owned by a very nice man who makes boxes!

    Happy New Year to all
