Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn 6-24x50.

I normally use Simmons scopes but have been offered a Bushenell Banner Dusk & Dawn 6=24x50 AO scope.
It's got Japan on the box.
Everything looks Bushnell to me but I've never had one before, could it be a Chinese copy ?
I've done a search but nothing with these spec's come up so I simply don't know if dud or good.
Mill Dot on the box but there's little lines rather than actual dots.
I/R has variable brightness & you can have geen or red.
Being sold as new, never mounted on a gun but pre owned with a battered box.
I've had a look through it & seems ok but still not convinced.
I'm interested due to a seemingly fair price & the dots on my Simmons Pro Hunter is quite large & widely spaced.
To go on a FAC FX2000 .177 for mainly close range with the odd long range shot when the oppertunity arises.
No name or other marks on the scope but one of the caps has a B on it.
Will I be wasting my money or shall I rip his hand off ?
Rabbit Stew, no artificial additives except lead.

You haven't put how much he wants for it so if it's a tenner, yes. If it's £400, no.

    Hi

I have the exact same scope, purchase from evil bay.

I am pretty sure it is a copy, I have done some research and I am pretty sure Bushnell never made this model. Saying that, it is a perfectly good scope, the optics are as good as my other (original) Bushnell Banner. If its a good price (think I paid £50) then it's well worth it, imho.

    Cheers,

    Dan

The price isn't cast in stone but around £50 with room to haggle.
That's what put me off, not sure though what these would go for either original or a copy, new or s/h.

    Thanks for the info Dan.
Copy or not the optics have to be good for any amount of money otherwise you hear the sound of an expensive flush

No worries. As I said, the optics were fine, at least for me. I have never had a really expensive scope so couldnt compare, but they are equal to the S/H Banner I bought from a member on this BBS. I do a lot of night shooting in my garden out to about 45 yards with just the target illuminated and have had no problems putting the pellets where I want them.

    Good luck

    Dan
