legal ownership of deactivated or replicas

The replica ban etc.... is it just illegal to buy/sell new items? what about items already in your possession? lastly do deac. rifles and shotguns count or ois it just Handgun replicas and deac's?

Sorry for being naive, just fancy collecting them thats all, bad timing or what!
Stupid ban i reckon, no one ever got killed with a starting pistol, unless isuppose you batter them with it

Deacs aren't affected at all. That may change soon though - at least as far as the 'Pre '95' semi/full auto non crew-served ones are concerned.
Good deals with: Baz, foxshooter, vbull, leadhead, Gary C/Slim Shady, coddy, rixy, David, Baldie, BoNeS, mjonho, Reeco.

Replicas under the VCR Act are now termed RIF's- realistic imitation firearms.
They are defined as imitations of any firearm of a post 1870 design date.
The import, manufacture and sale is generally prohibited except to bona fide re enactors and airsoft skirmishers who are members of a recognised group with public liability insurance.
Anything held on an FAC or SGC is not covered by the VCR Act.

    Trev, car mad, rifle idiot.
Got my first rifle - Webley Stingray .22 with 4x32 mil-dot.
    And I can get a 5.5mm group at 50m (with 1 shot).
