Are you allowed to sit on your foot if it's not vertical? And what about resting the rifle on your front knee, or can you only rest the elbow of your leading hand on your knee?

nope you cant sit on your foot this year.

you can rest any part of your arm on your knee as long as the wrist is forward of the knee - ie. no rest shots as in FT
