    S410 trigger removal

    Hey all,

Just a random question really - is it possible to remove the trigger block intact from a s410?

If yes, is it doable without discharging the rifle, or would I need to depressurise the cylinder?

    Any thoughts appreciated,

    Dan

The Trigger Block can be removed, but not without removing some of the Trigger parts, the Block is secured to the Cylinder by 2 screws, 1 inside the Cylinder (where the Hammer runs) the other is within the Block, screwing up into the Cylinder. If you take off the Breech Block (6 Bolts) and remove the rear bolt, everything will become more evident.

Bugger - gonna be a bit more involved then...

So am I looking at depressurising the rifle and more or less stripping it completely?

    Cheers,

There is no need to empty the reservoir, just be careful of the exposed valve stem!

WHAT,,, never mess with a PCP when it is full, if you dont know what you are doing leav it.
talk to some one like Baz and find out every thing, then and only then have a go.
remember that 3000psi and a fool dont mix.

    cheers

This may be a daft question, but why do you want to take the trigger apart anyway. First and second stage are all adjustable with the gun in one piece. What else could you hope to gain?

Thanx for the constructive comments Simmo - let me assure you I'm fully aware of the dangers of compressed air, and "mama didn't raise no fool"

Hence the original query as to if the trigger block comes off in one piece, and if the cylinder needs to be discharged before doing it

If you don't ask, you don't find out - should I take a 5 year course on the use of PCPs and discharge my cylinder before taking the silencer off my rifle? how about the scope?

I know on a springer you can ofter remove the trigger assembly in full without touching the innards of the cylinder - I merely wanted to know if the same is true of this particular PCP

    Cheers,

    Dan
