apologies if done before if so i will delete.

But in the Target way of life i wonder which is prefered in general. Many Many shooters on here so the poll should reflect.

    How do they match up?

    pcp vs springer

    Springer has to be
When you hit a target at 55yards with a springer you know that you have done something right
We all fail at many things, many times
in this life but we don't become failures,
until we start blaming someone else

When you a make a shot with a springer especially a difficult one,the buzz is something else, like squaring the circle. Its a complete form of shooting, and getting together with the rifle something that a pneumatic doesn't do.If you want to win and feel empty afterwards go for a pcp,but if you win with a springer you will have a grin a mile wide. The choice is yours..

    Thanks.
I notice you prefer the Germans over the AA.
Do you find a much better difference in quality and accuracy or is it more style. i love both brands but you seem to favour one for the springer

Mike got his HW77 so long-a-go that AirArms probably didn't exist and he's just stuck with the one make ever since.

I qualified for my club's 10m pistol team with an Original 6M, beating loads of PCPs. There's nothing wrong with a springer if you put your mind to getting the best out of it. I still see lots of springers at the (H)FT clubs and it seems lots of shooters still really like them.

Springers all the way for me. New AA TX200 HC owner - loving it. Like a long awaited reunion!
Have only used mates PCPs. They're a change to shoot, but I wouldn't buy one. Too many pieces!
With a springer you need the gun and some pellets and you're sorted. Keep it clean and it'll keep on shooting.

Being a very old hand to hunting but a very new hand to targets it has surprised me that the Springer is so far in front.

I voted springer, you just get more of a buzz when you knock over a target with a springer than you do with a pcp... dont think anyone can deny that, well they can but they'd only be lieing

Springers seem to have more soul and character.. recoiless rifles feel lifeless.. imo that is
i prefer the Weihrauch rifles over the AirArms range ..
