    FX Monsoon at 120 yards

The FX Monsoon is a semi-automatic, but contrary to my expectations this does not detract from its single shot performance. This is a 4 shot group fired at 120 yards it measures approximately 2 inches centre-to-centre. There was an almost imperceptible breeze but it was enough to shift the group to the right.

The clay at the same distance was broken with one shot, very impressive

As to power, I ran three mags through my CB-625 from a 200 bar fill, data in feet per second for 16 grain JSB exact pellets:

    907, 906, 906, 905, 900, 904, 900, 902, 899, 896, 894, 889

    896, 892, 891, 886, 887, 881, 878, 876, 875, 866, 863, 863

    862, 860, 852, 847, 846, 841, 833, 826, 820, 815, 809, 805

On the 20th shot, the rifle failed to cycle and had to be recocked manually.

Peak muzzle energy is just over 29 ft/lbs for the first shot, tapering off to a still very respectable 23 ft/lbs for the 32nd shot.

Films have taught me alot re long range shooting, mine has improved ever since I started a log book, it now takes a only a few shots to sight it in.

yep, he certainly takes his shooting seriously a bit too seriously at times perhaps, but I guess the results speak for themselves

tnks for the compliment sagres) Fullmetaljacket should be fitting a scope i sold him and we should be doing some interesting long range target work this weekend. lets see what we can achieve with some dialing in and the Monsoon, im curious! we'll try 100-150 if we have enough time
