    Very sad news.

I am extremely saddened to learn of Alan’s death.

Alan was a true gentleman; his integrity, knowledge and kindness are attributes that, when combined, are very rare.

    I will miss our chats.

Same here, Alan was always willing to talk about scopes. My condolences to his family, also.

    RIP Alan

As echoed by other members , Alan always had time to chat and explain any questions put to him in full , his enthusiasm for the sport was infectious.

    Condolences to his family.

    Regards
    Simon.

I thinks its already been said above,

Alan posted me a lightstream scope when they first came out to try, didn't really know me from adam.

I had the scope for months and when he rang me i said i would like to keep it.

Dare not tell you how much he charged me but it was very very cheap.

    Sad day indeed.

I never met him in person, but he was a great help to me on a number of occasions both on here and on the phone.

I'm very sorry to hear he's gone.
