It's a good idea to have some kind of secure storage, even if it's not a legal requirement.
*** Warning the Graham brothers in the Cheltenham area scamming ***
The Graham brothers are sill actively scamming people. Do not send money or your gun to anyone in the Cheltenham area of Gloucestershire. Only deal with anyone in this area face to face.
Never send payment via paypal to anyone living in this area. He may claim the gun must have got lost in the post and tell you to claim back from paypal.
When paypal find out it was a gun, you won't be getting anything back.
thank god! had a bit of a worry there!
how can i secure it without spending almost as much of a safe as the gun cost?
slip a bike lock through the trigger and lock it around something sturdy

couldnt someone just unscrew/rip the trigger guard off?
there are many cheap storage units out there. buy somthing cheap with a lock on it and put it somewhere out of the way in your house.![]()

Sound advise.
I kept my air rifle in a proper gun cabinet. As soon as I got the gun I knew it would lead to a rimmy. Plus, you always know it safe and will not be able to get in to the hands of some knob head.
I now want a bigger one because I'm starting to get the centre-fire twinges.
I can see the logic ther, buy the safe then yo have to buy bigger guns!
but still, my air rifle only cost £180 and i really dont want to be paying out more than £100 for a cabinet that isnt a legal requierment!
Hello Toby,
Look round for an industrial clothing locker from a factory or similar, you'll pick one up or should do for next to nothing. Get someone to weld you 2 hasp and staple type fittings onto it, buy a couple of good padlocks (They're cheap) and you're in business.
This type of locker won't pass for shotgun or firearms licencing but will be perfectly adequate for airguns.
Hope this helps

As said before - buy a proper gunsafe.
That way you have covered yourself for any eventuality.
Including exisiting issues: eg kids around guns/intruders
And futureproofing: eg FAC air/powder burners
Everyone's happy that way.![]()
