Is it a pre 1948 Cadet with the pistol grip wedge instead of a through bolt? Lovely condition, and a nice little keeper to boot : Gareth.

Has got Major rearsight, interesting logo stamp on stock, and no fixing bolt in base of pistol grip. Ser no. M11278, which I can't tally up as a Major?
Lovely though, this may be a keeper! Or not.
no such words as alot or ect, and do you really want to add a second 'o' in 'lose', unless you're talking about something that isn't very tight?

You have a very early Cadet Major. The M prefix indictates that it comes from the first batch of guns made, and dates it from 1946 to 1948. Those early guns did not have the large bolt through the pistol grip, as the later models did. Instead these early guns used a screw through the trigger guard to screw directly into the action. If your stock is not cracked you have done well, as these early gun stocks were prone to cracking.
Great find these early Cadet Majors as they are not that common. The earliest recorded serial number was M 10,000 April 1946, and the last dispatched M prefix was dispatched in August 1948.
Lakey
So how much? £150?
