Forgive my ignorance lads, but I've come across a thread on the American AGF talking of the use of slings in their International Class FT for other than carrying the rifle.
Are there specific rules that prohibit this practice? I know I use to wrap the sling round my left arm when taking standers with my TX, but they seem to have taken it to a new level;

Note that I'm not talking about the harness but the sling that appears to be attached at one point only, so must only be of use as a shooting aid rather than a method of carrying.
Many Thanks
Greg

That's why I'm posting this really, these fellas are looking at the rules & aren't seeing any specific ones prohibiting the use of a sling in this way but I don't see them being used over here. Is it just a case of not being against the rules but considered bad form & against the spirit of the thing.
